Absolutely amazing restaurant! Their staff are amazingly competent and sociable. The food is top notch and their "cool and hot" margarita is a must have.I will be back the next time I visit Santa Fe!

Terrific New Mexican food in a fun environment. Had blue corn enchiladas with eggs for breakfast and they were outstanding. Posole for dinner was equally delicious. Great service, and reasonable prices. The margaritas were very good too!

Our favorite Plaza Cafe. Everything just seems better. Awesome food, gotta have the breakfast chicken fried steak with red chili instead of gravy (beans and hash browns). Impossible burger surprisingly taste just like a real one and is just as bad for you, thumbs up. My wife always gets a bowl of red chili with sour cream and beef. Won't disappoint.

This gourmet coffee shop is sister to Plaza Cafe downtown and it's bigger. Popular with locals and visitors alike, this old fashioned coffee shop has a counter, pie and lots of coffee. The staff is precise, friendly and fast. It's all you expect and perhaps a bit more, if your used to Denny's. Everyone at our table cleaned their plate. Good for families and groups.

Delicious! Got breakfast tacos and they are so good. We also got a delicious big fluffy pancake! Plus the wait was short and the waitstaff were all so nice in their bowties and very helpful

Green chili, I love green chili and I have to admit I make a pretty amazing and green chili! I ordered a bowl of New Mexican green chili and I thought my taste buds were going to explode. Meat choices and mine was steak. Served on top of beans with cheese sour cream, cheese and tortilla. My husband ordered the New Mexican Burrito and that was great as well.I love the energy, the colors, the atmosphere and the employees at this place! It is my favorite place so far here in Santa Fe......As you all know, employees make a difference. Thank you José, Cristian and Aideé for making our visit here delightful. I WOULD and will be back to see you all.

Another of our go to spots. Breakfast was great, eggs, pancakes, link sausages..fine. My wife likes their grilled tuna san on gluten free bread. Full coffee cup. Friendly staff.

So I had a Greek salad which was nothing to rave or write home about. Hubby liked his burger and my daughter liked the veggie tacos, son's dish was way to spicy.

Plaza Cafe South has been one of our favorite local spots for years. We recently ordered takeout due to COVID-19 and as always, we were very impressed. Our order was brought out to our car when we pulled up. Everyone was wearing masks and taking extra precautions to maintain safe social distancing. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. As always, spicy and flavorful chile. They went the extra mile to include utensils, condiments and even threw in some complimentary chocolate chip cookies. I’ve always loved their values and support of our immigrant community. One of the best places in town!

Our visit to this restaurant was so enjoyable! Its very spacious and easy to get to, its called the Plaza cafe but don't be fooled, there is a lot more parking space lol. It has a retro vibe and the coffee was delicious. The huevos ranchos were so tasty as was the salted Caramel cupcake. Very accommodating waiters as well. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone wanted a satisfying bite to eat in Santa Fe.

One of the most underrated places in town. Almost never a wait for a table, great margaritas, and great pie. I think their chopped salad is one of the best in town, but I’m sad that they discontinued the buttermilk green chile dressing :(

What a nice restaurant! I love it. It is one of the best ones in Santa Fe. Gorgeous dining room with a soaring ceiling. They make a green chile cheese burger that hits the right notes for texture and heat on top of richness. Good servers make this a very pleasant experience.

I got here for breakfast with 4 friends. We had a reservation so no wait was required. I ordered a BLT meal and coffee. The coffee was refilled regularly, and the staff was really nice. The BLT was absolutely filling, so it was a good deal. The taste was quite good as well, and there were plenty of french fries.

Try the green chile stew, so good! I wish they served sopapillas here but sadly they don’t. I believe they still sell them at the original downtown plaza restaurant.

First of all, it was my birthday, chef Alejandro indulged my wife and I with a top notch breakfast parfait, which was succulent and the presentation A+!!Our server Antonio was very attentive and courteous,and knowledgeable of what he does,.my wife ordered the Chicken fried steak and it was as expected! Delicately delicious,she totally loved it!!I personally will let you guys know, my blu corn breakfast enchiladas with the authentic green and red and 2 eggs my way and the hash browns were a must to try again!!I topped off my plate with a 8oz rib eye which it was prepared with care and the desired temperature.We definitely will pay another visit to your establishment again but now with our kids!! Thank you for the well done service and for the dedication you put in what you do!! Costumer satisfaction!!Hasta Luego!!

I really enjoyed my breakfast here. The food was delicious! I had blue corn breakfast enchiladas. Coffee was good too. The restaurant was bright and sparkling clean. The staff were all very professional and friendly. Service was quick and attentive. I wouldn't change a thing.

Wow we enjoyed this little diner so much! The food was delicious and service was even better. We called ahead for a table and they had it ready for us right away when we got there. When we ordered chips and salsa, and there was a chunk of cheese in the bowl. We asked if that was supposed to be there, our server apologized and brought us out a new bowl along with another and extra chips. I don't believe he ended up charging us for them either. Food came out quickly and tasted great. The menu had a lot of options but not an overwhelming amount. The pancakes are some of the best I've had in a long time. Thank you for a great meal!

The plaza county on the South side is much bigger than the original one at the plaza. But even though it's far from the original it still has the same exact quality of food. This is the best place for breakfast bar none in Santa Fe

It’s been a few months since we have eaten there, yet my boyfriend and I were just talking about it. We met a coworker and a former coworker for the most delightful dinner. Our food was amazing that night. I mean up there with, La Tour, in Vail, amazing. We didn’t even have one of their wonderful deserts that evening. I rarely bother to leave restaurant reviews. Everything we ate that night was phenomenal!

Menu is wide ranging. Food was really good. I had a shrimp and avocado salad. Also a cup of green chili stew. Very good. Service was good for sitting at the bar. The customers at the bar were a different story though. Kind of like Sin City characters. Two different people at two different times were playing their own music on their cell phones while talking to others. Quite distracting while trying to watch MNF. Others carried on conversations with themselves. Interesting.

This place is right around the corner from Capitol Grill, so it's easy to compare them. The Grill has a busier, more upscale ambiance and menu; Plaza Cafe feels like more of a neighborhood diner, with a more inviting (to me) ambiance. Prices may not be that much different. We usually sit at the bar at Plaza Cafe, and the bartenders are always friendly. A small (8 or 10 taps?) but high quality local draft beer selection. I prefer the homestyle cooking of Plaza Cafe, though it definitely has a New Mexican flair. Very good breakfast burritos and baked goods.

Nice atmosphere, adequate food, but this is a huge operation. They play up the “small, family start up†origin story...but this was either sold or corporatized quite a while ago. Everything about this restaurant looks corporate. We got the enchilada plate and it was pretty average. You sort of couldn’t tell where the enchilada ended and the other food components began. Nice staff, attentive and helpful. But for $15+ dollars I was hoping for a bit more taste. Definitely sort of flat. But we’re visiting and it hit the spot. Could def be called comfort food. Pretty thick and sauce heavy. Very good decor. Overall good experience.

Diverse menu suitable for many distinctive appetites. Good family place or not, meaning adult beverages available and kids can find good selections too. Food is good. Service too. If you want good meal and not go to Plaza area, go here. Prices are moderate.

Meh. Not horrible, but not great. Had the burrito with calabacitas, which was basically a tortilla filled with scrambled eggs and about 5 slices of zucchini. The lettuce on the garnish was grayish and the tomato rancid. The service was indifferent. I’d asked for a substitution on my order, didn’t get it, but never got a chance to address it since the waiter didn’t reappear until I was done eating. I had to flag someone down for a refill of my cheap-tasting $2.75 cup of coffee. There are currently more service staff members on the floor than there are occupied tables, so it’s not because they’re too busy; my impression is that they don’t care. I won’t be back, trendy new interior notwithstanding.

So this is not in the Plaza area that I thought it was. I was really looking forward to the homemade guacamole, but they were out by 7:30pm. Thought it was pricey for what we got and didn't love that they add 20% for gratuity when 5 or more people are dining. I got the steak enchiladas with green chile,my husband got the beef burrito and my teen daughter the fish tacos,and the rest kids meals. I would give my meal a 6, my husband gave his a 5 and my daughter 8.5. The margaritas did the job, but didn't taste that great. The staff was friendly so that was a plus and though the selection of baked goods left was small (the menu features over 20 desserts)we did enjoy the quad leches cupcake we took back to our hotel.

The food is good. They carry vegan options, the impossible burger, and gluten free varieties of menu items. Their posole is also a great option. The staff is very friendly here too. Take a pie or cupcake to go!

Wonderful experience and food. I had the egg with ham sandwich on green chili cheese bread. It came with a side of hashbrowns that were the best I've ever had. Definitely worth the stop.
